Expenses and petty cash

The CareMatch Carers app allows carers to securely manage both expenditure they have made on behalf of you or the person receiving care or in circumstances where they handle cash. 

If the Carer Member receives cash either from you or the person they are providing care for, they will note this in the Petty Cash record. When they spend this, a note will be made of when they made a purchase, what was purchased, how much with an image of the receipt or relevant evidence of the expenditure. A running total will be maintained to show how much the "petty cash" balance is at any point in time. 

The Carer Member can log any expenses they have incurred on your behalf along with a description of why they have had to make purchases, how much and when. The Carer Member can collate these and then submit a claim for you to review. You will need to reimburse the Carer Member directly into their business account and hence you will need to ask them for their bank account sort code and account number. Once you have reimbursed the carer you can mark this off...

NOTE that under the CareMatch Carer and Client Member terms and conditions it is expressly forbidden for Client Members to provide Carer Members with any loans, gifts or other incentives. Carer Members are not permitted to accept loans, gifts or any other financial reward from CareMatch Client Members or the people that the Carer is providing care to.
